    Food Rescue Ride

Healthy Exertion found a sweet way to be healthy and give back to the community. Boulderfoodrescue.org and Denverfoodrescue.org are holding an event called Food Rescue Ride at the Cherry Creek State Park on August 13th. Exertion decided to jump in and give these awesome organizations some free publicity and extra cyclists. Please join Exertions call and ride for these organizations charitable causes!

All the information below was found at this link: http://www.boulderfoodrescue.org/index.php/food-rescue-ride/

"We are excited to partner as the Food Rescue Alliance* for another carefree bike ride to benefit healthy food access along the Front Range. Join us along the paths of Cherry Creek State Park dressed as your favorite fruit or veggie for a 15 mile, 30 mile, or 30 mile trailer pull**. The ride will be followed with a party on the reservoir with food, drinks, entertainment, & prizes***.

    * The Food Rescue Alliance (FRA) is a network of bicycle-based food rescue organizations all around the world. This year, three FRA members—Denver Food Rescue, Boulder Food Rescue, and Colorado Springs Food Rescue—are collaborating to bring you the second annual Food Rescue Ride. For more information on FRA, including how you could start a chapter in your community, visit www.foodrescuealliance.org

This ride is noncompetitive, meaning it’s not a race, which makes it perfect for families and cyclists of all skill levels.

Please arrive to the Smoky Hill Parking Area at Cherry Creek State Park at 7:30 am. Riders will return at 11 am for lunch and the award ceremony at 12.

    8:00 – 11:00 AM : Ride
